myofascial release

Unlike muscle, fascia is a 3D continuous web of microscopic hollow tubes that extends from the head all the way down to the toes without interruption. Fascia covers and protects every tissue, tendon, ligament, bone, muscle and organ of the body.  When moving correctly, the fascial network is relaxed and supportive and allows us to move without restriction or pain.  However, physical and emotional stress causes the fascial network to lose its supportive structure, becoming hardened and rigid and pulls internal structures out of alignment.
